water, a taoist's dream

water, a taoist's dream

it's clearer, or cloudier
than it does seem
it's music leaves
us remembering

what it means
to be simply
moved
without leaving

the scene of running water
the blue sky striking
a chord of needing not
a wet thing thrashing

into infinite sky, reaching
for skies by day hold
the stars we sighed beneath
by night, nesting owls

such holy affection- cannot feign
nor rain false bullets-- nor melt mystic meteors,
but simply surround auburn crown-
a multi-puddled lotus

a deep blue satin
splash around the throat
where truth be uttered,
crystalline,

to express--at the clicking of shells,
against blue stone....sourced by moving
water running from river, to lake, to stream
a taoist's dream
