Glorious Spring Equinox!

forsythia, the harbinger of spring (by kate lamberg (c) '14)
Wishing all my friends a Glorious Spring Equinox!

Yesterday's new sun/new moon in pisces, conjunct to an eclipse, quickly followed
sun & moon into aries, and the spring equinox. A split second of equal lightness and darkness...
Now, we will be experiencing in the Northern Hemisphere, the beginning of the days lengthening,
warmer weather, flower filled days.

While watching the snow fall yesterday, dropping several inches of an icy white wet blanket on trees, yards, and my humble rock garden...I could hardly feel the presence of spring. This was a reminder to "go within"
When I went into a deep quiet place of meditation , I could feel the subtle bursting--
of what we know to be spring.

Grounding or Earthing Meditation:

Feet parallel, aligned with mother earth,  our body/mind can  connect with the deepest place within mother earth.  Her womb, finally awakening from the long slumber of winter's stillness and cold.
Breathing up mother earth energies through the soles of our feet, allowing it to course up our legs and finally connect to hips and sit bones. Feel the stabilizing/balancing strength of mother earth. Notice a whirling, pulsing, new flow of blood. We are being gifted with our mother earth's reborn energies of spring.

Celebrate our Mother Earth.  Walk barefoot in the snow, and upon her softened soil,
enjoy her nutrient rich  plants, and newly opening brilliant flowers..
As we honour our Mother Earth, we are truly humbled, become better listeners,
and practicioners of gratitude...for this extraordinary life.

Brightest Blessings, and Love,
Kate
