new moon eclipse in pisces/predicate nominative-again you show up
the times i told you to be quiet, stay over
there, and not gravitate to my word clusters
is both annoying and refreshing- how you
balance sentences- insisting upon being
right, written, rehearsed, and a part
of all that word orgy we lean into
excess--and call a poem
we are not home yet
still the cold morning
air on fire with potential
sun, arching over syllables
a giggle translates into
an open gate, green light
missing the yellow by a fraction
division of this country leaving
me on my head, wondering
why not more of us can see
four and twenty blackbirds,
white swans, yellow finches,
red tanagers, and bluebirds
baked in a pie
now try to convince your neighbor
it is possible, and you've won
me over- the classical etude
meeting up with belligerant
burning wide jazz chords
is there no way to run
a railroad in human terms
