heart hunches

the light flickers
and we must follow it
the sky darkens
and we notice it

the rain pours more loudly
and we hear it
the imbalances of the world
are being healed

every moment
epiphanies are discovered
dancing painting, singing, recreating
new brain pathways

what questions we ask
bring us closer
creating from seemingly nothing
something new, vital, closer yet

to what light does
when it has found
its home-- living in the profound
innocence of who we are
