"In faith there is enough light for those who want to believe, and enough shadows to blind those who don't." - ~Blaise Pascal
why some are drawn,
like plants or zebras
to grow towards the light
is beyond the finite
regions of the brain
why some are drawn,
like plants or zebras
to grow towards the light
is beyond the finite
regions of the brain
it just is that way
and those who tend
to disagree, cannot be
fully free; it's the gentle
exploration of an open heart
meeting oneself for the first time
not needing to explain or rhyme:
the sudden awe of an unpredictable
rain---and then a clearing, so sacred
in its silence that ones breath is heard
releasing the grip of deluded
fear----eyes, just now rising
in brightness, as one
celestial bird
if you'd like to meet me
in a field of poppies, and believe
that miracles reside in every pore
every crook of an elbow, and every
space between bodies,
forests, streams, rocks,
algae, & moon beams...
then we shall meet without a plan
letting the music of salt water rock
the winter shoreline, for certainty
is left for crashing-- as we gaze
at earth's changing grey haze
