eagle spirit guide

Day began grey and cold. Half way through my walk at twin ponds, it felt warmer. By the end of my walk the sun emerged full on. It was a perfect day for photographing nature. The January sun, not too intense, yet not that dingy apathetic steel grey....That grey that speaks to you front and center. That endless neurotic grey, that  never lets its claws out of your immediate consciousness.

At the beginning of my walk, I noticed what appeared like a huge misty nest, on a branch of a mostly dead oak. When I got to be twenty feet away from the tree, I was miraculously mistaken! What I thought to be a huge nest, was indeed a huge bird. It appeared like an eagle.  Perhaps the first time I saw one so close.
I just let the camera snap one hundred shots of this amazing huge and oddly beautiful bird.

Upon walking into the bamboo forest, I asked for my spirit guides for permission to enter the sacred spot. There was a resounding breeze and I noticed the sky become more blue. All clear signs that the spirits indeed heard me, and I could proceed, with grace and appreciation.

Energy moving through spirals, air warming around chakras, releasing all thoughts and energies that no longer serve my highest good. I salute the four directions, and honor all life.

Holly Berry Tree, seems to have grown since the last time I visited the woods. Could it be that it heard my thoughts, as I approached her shiny serrated leaf, bedecked with raspberry colored berries? She never appeared as peaceful and statuesque. I drunk her clean forest scent in.

May all who seek nature, discover rare and serendipitous gifts always.
Bright Blessings~!
