when in flight, fancy free

Image
when in flight, so fancy free while wading in the harbour movement tends to slow to an almost imperceptible stillness in harmony with tide and sun how wind picks up after five within infinite shades of grey through trust we continue to strive all day we watch the shades change all day we witness stars rearrange all day we give gratitude for nature's pleasures all day we receive her lasting treasures words/photos~kate lamberg (c) '15

we walk mindlessly

Image
we walk mindlessly, upon a softened, awakened earth just musing about where we must arrive, how it will be while the strides we take to get to the mountain top by a supposed hour of the day--get lost inside the crocus we no longer know how lenient the earth is below: our heel, toe, forward going, side-stepping, fretting; how true intimacy can be anchored like boats upon a placid understanding harbor to feel the pleasant weight of salt spray on our face, the north easterlies patting backs with a congruous courting--the sun intervening to remind us: it is only this forever being present to the genuine mint flavored moment, eyes utterly open to the change of direction, the wind--in its nascent knowing nothing reasonable that makes perfect sense while embracing spring ~words/photo~kate lamberg (c) '15

from the hilltop looking west~for spring and all things becoming more alive!

Image
from the hilltop looking west, she was grateful of it being march, as the rosy maple and the sturdy oak were up to no good, leafless-- exposed to the northeasterlies so  she could make out in between the trees-- how the etched low tide inlet was moving slightly in a grey ink from south to north, and would become one with the long island sound possibly by sunset--the way she was moving, and  the western shore seemed to be drinking the diminishing light just as simply as crocuses punch their little oval faces through the cold porous soil-- roots from years ago like the scales from fish smoothing its noted roughness while dissolving, becoming one-- with the soft loamy earth words/photo~kate lamberg..(c) '15

water, a taoist's dream

Image
water, a taoist's dream it's clearer, or cloudier than it does seem it's music leaves us remembering what it means to be simply moved without leaving the scene of running water the blue sky striking a chord of needing not a wet thing thrashing into infinite sky, reaching for skies by day hold the stars we sighed beneath by night, nesting owls such holy affection- cannot feign nor rain false bullets-- nor melt mystic meteors, but simply surround auburn crown- a multi-puddled lotus a deep blue satin splash around the throat where truth be uttered, crystalline, to express--at the clicking of shells, against blue stone....sourced by moving water running from river, to lake, to stream a taoist's dream words/photo~kate lamberg (c) kathodes '`15

Glorious Spring Equinox!

Image
forsythia, the harbinger of spring (by kate lamberg (c) '14) Wishing all my friends a Glorious Spring Equinox! Yesterday's new sun/new moon in pisces, conjunct to an eclipse, quickly followed sun & moon into aries, and the spring equinox. A split second of equal lightness and darkness... Now, we will be experiencing in the Northern Hemisphere, the beginning of the days lengthening, warmer weather, flower filled days. While watching the snow fall yesterday, dropping several inches of an icy white wet blanket on trees, yards, and my humble rock garden...I could hardly feel the presence of spring. This was a reminder to "go within" When I went into a deep quiet place of meditation , I could feel the subtle bursting-- of what we know to be spring. Grounding or Earthing Meditation: Feet parallel, aligned with mother earth,  our body/mind can  connect with the deepest place within mother earth.  Her womb, finally awakening from the long slumber of win...

how winter refuses to let go

Image
the letting go of her tenacity would indeed set us free from boots and layers of fleece  but how much tenderness is breathed immediately beneath the surface of her frozen stare the soft pliable baby green, just below the roughened crab apple- & just now-- the sweet sryup of the maple--shooting skyward! words/photo~kate lamberg (c) '15
