photo by kate lamberg (c) '14 a single golden leaf spiraling down-- to rest with others for awhile upon a cool grassy plain the early darkness descending down the mountain like goats returning home from summer when the river quiets her boisterous rock and roll and in prayer whispers kind elegies how the salty breeze at dusk becomes a semi-permeable nucleus keeping in and letting out our own magnificence ~ Kate Lamberg (c) '14

conversation with an earth angel- 'deja vu'

how far till the end of the road as far as you wish to take it does that mean i'll be walking the rest of my life- and still never discover the living end i am afraid you will be walking the rest of your life--and still never discover the living end as you know from being at a familiar place--one where you know you've never been-- the light courses through the pines and shines in your eyes for only a moment and then you know the circuitous nature of this life--- of all our lives pooling in the center of a thirstydesert-- as one by one we enter the living lake of everlasting lilies eternity beckons for those who know themselves to be old capricious souls without reason for being but trees bend in high winds in autumn- and the cool streak of morning reminds us there is nothing new under heaven or upon this earth but only to realize with closed eyes: we have all been here before we have all been here before she shuts the ...

she bears a treehouse

'pine trees' ~kate lamberg (c) '14 "In one drop of water contains the secrets of an entire ocean" Gibran still she loved to bark up the wrong tree like bears who teach  their cubs autonomy she-bear will roar her little ones up the tree and turn her back and go swaying free the learned path just as naturally as wind comes blowing kisses on the cubs left to rise to the occasion-- they too will learn how to forage for food, and how to swim through newly found streams- to catch fish in open mouths- how mama bear would be so proud! miraculous-how we all are wired to adapt to trickster alarms and monkey smile shines as a single ray of illumination-- leads us to gather a fuller rounder beam as surely as the silver grey stream becomes full of rainbow fish in late summer just as soon as a handful of oak leaves become browned--in a cooler less blue sky the moment we realize the utter human need to palm the pine...

a quote is just a landmark

Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. ~Anaïs Nin a quote is just a landmark- a touch stone of what could be and for me- i allow the goodness of everything to pour through me in my out breath i release all that does not serve my highest good; no one can tell anyone what is goodness for them we must sweat our questions diving through the depths of oftentimes murky algae rich ponds hanging out in dark environs with little light and oxygen before we know what exactly we need to be more than just surviving; a barefoot modern choreography- danced with our heart hanging out of our chest a song sung up to father sky and down to mother earth never ever getting rest until we know an emerald radiance beams through eyes, and a sweet softening in the center of our chest with a breath so pure and light we no longer need to fight the fight peace reigns supreme we return to a slow adagio dancing with a balanced being through the ...
