no dangling lunar participles

"The moon does not get wet, nor is the water disturbed" ~zen quote

however close the moon lingers above
the still lake, she holds her integrity
omnipresent, pared and peeled

no dangling lunar participles,
no waiting up half the night to meet
on tiptoe with the calm waters

both elements revel
In spacious interludes
moonlight sonata rocks

all beings asleep
sharing spaces, sewn in counts
as water--barely festoons the moon
