a day so bright
a day so bright
the rain from yesterday
slipped out of memory
for awhile; for the time
it took to steep in a morning
ritual- as making coffee
for self, becomes all selves:
how we dive into each others' day
carrying both the burdens
and the joys of each others'
soul- spun like sugar, &
crystalized into new chanting forms
how sweet the sound-we sing
between the clinking of spoons
and the sipping from mugs- this music
flooding out the window panes
how we meet in mid-air
in the moment- not a care
blessed beyond reason
