We are born into an authentic innocence

Image
We are born into an authentic innocence. It is our job to work at maintaining the magic of it. The more we recognize the truth, the more we may be belittled for our embracing its merit(s) Stay strong fellow earth dancers, fellow fanciful air faeries, fire walkers, water ballet babies We are on the precipice of something incredibly balancing, internally Peaceful, and infinitely Loving----- Fear not your next step! words and photo by kate lamberg..(c) '14

bay of funday

Image
love cannot be redirected however hard the current pushes it's tireless salt now won over by the fresh water stream the place where we, ocean and stream have been known to pool our strengths-- needing nothing but a blue sky afternoon head first into ice water followed by the sting of heat sitting at the base of a fir tree resinous warmth-as sacred rites retold through centuries strange how some folks never return to tell their stories as they become dissolved in the moment of high tides' tethering, the fresh cold bay's drone the final curtsy, crossing over on feathered stones ~words and photo~kate lamberg..(c) '14z

could we return

Image
could we return to that endless warm misty afternoon sprawled out beneath the arch of stately oaks by the river hardly moving the day stretched finely fragile as a silken fan only to be snapped shut at the sound of the train whistle two turtles returning to respective silences two fireflies returning to separate lives poem and photo~kate lamberg.. What is needed to write.

Image
I used to think one needed to be in a dark desolate place to write good poetry, or to create any fine art, or to compose a wonderful piece of music. It had come to my attention, that my previous thought was based on what I saw "out there" and not what is felt "in here"...in my own body/mind/soul. To be present, as we say in zen...is to learn of the 10,000 things springing to life, in all the various forms of life. To be present is to express what is happening, translating it into art in order to share the experience with others. It could be stirred by a cloistered darkness, by a lightness of being, or by a swirl of both. ~ I feel it is never purely one state or another; however darkness seems to be like rain putting out the light and lightness of being seems to obliterate the dark states. When one is elated, it's challenging to sit down with pen and paper and write...As the world glows and you glow with ecstasy...but it can be done!! ...

'the dance' by matisse rain has thrust her forceful pellets into the thirsty ground flowers earth and stone awake refreshed such pillars of beauty before our eyes have grown birds share there shall be sun to brighten, warm and bless all the sodden soil, shrubs weighted with heaviness and lift all beings with-- such palpable re-cognition-- beyond what we call earth to swirl and dance in karmic mirth   ~kate lamberg..(c) '14

unraveling

Image
unraveling a code without orderly conduct diving into an unkempt stream holding a picture of you close to the true grit of promises gone asunder why we even held our breath under water as if there was no tomorrow and tomorrow has come without cajoling fully forgiven--for lambs do lie down with lions in the den of infinite merging nautilus shells click by chance as wind chimes bling a sacred tune- the one which makes us kneel in awe-- at how we recapture the strawberry moon words and photo by kate lamberg (c) June 8, '14
